PLEASE TELL SPEAKER BILL HOWELL TO STAND UP FOR REAL MARRIAGE IN VIRGINIA!
Dear Virginian,
I've reached out to you several times about the critical fight to defend Real Marriage in Virginia.
Conservatives in the House are poised to ensure our state's Real Marriage laws - as enshrined in our state's Constitution by the voters in referendum -- has legal representation against the Homosexual Lobby's legal attack.
Unfortunately, House of Delegates Speaker Bill Howell is sabotaging these efforts after he initially pledged to support them.
You see, pro-Family Delegates have written a resolution (HR 541) that would remove pro-homosexual "marriage" Democrat Attorney General Mark Herring as the state's representation in the appeals process.
As the House of Delegates' most powerful member, an up-or-down vote on the original version of this important pro-Family resolution is easily within Speaker Howell's authority.
Please call Speaker Howell right away at 804-698-1028.
Tell him pro-Family Virginians demand an up-or-down vote on the original version of HR 541 that leaves its strong defense of Virginia's Real Marriage amendment intact!
And once you've called Speaker Howell, please call your Delegate and demand they publicly support the HR 541 language that explicitly removes Mark Herring and appoints a House of Delegates attorney to defend Virginia's Real Marriage amendment.
