John Lofton Passes, American writer, humorist and pioneer. "Lofton is forever an inspiration," says Eugene Delgaudio

John Lofton had the energy of a hundred men and was a giant when it came to verbal combat with the resources of an entire civilization at his fingertips and sometimes he carried around a small library of religious and philosophical tomes.

More often he was seen with several recording devices to transcribe interviews later or to simply record his questions and the answers of his political targets, heros or just personalities he was reporting on.

"John Lofton is forever an inspiration," says Eugene Delgaudio, president of Public Advocate, "and his writing, wit and execution of political leadership a high standard that only few can hope to achieve or duplicate."
