Rep. Gerald Solomon, in Memoriam
Congressman Gerald Solomon of New York was a life-long supporter of the pro-family movement and the author of the Solomon Amendment, which required schools that accepted federal funds to allow the U.S. Armed Forces an equal opportunity to recruit on campuses. The legislation was up-held by the United States Supreme Court by an 8-0 vote on March 6, 2006.
Although Congressman Solomon passed away in 2001, Public Advocate remembers him as a hero who fought for families and against the radical homosexual lobby.
