White House Launches Pride Stormtrooper Assault on American Family Today

Eugene Delgaudio, president of Public Advocate released this statement: "President Biden pink booted prideful stormtroopers have been sent marching into the mainstream American family values that stand in his tyranical path to ruin moral barriers protecting children."

THE ASSOCIATED PRESS REPORTS:

President Joe Biden on Thursday condemned a wave of "cruel" and "callous" state laws curbing the rights, visibility and health care access of LGBTQ+ people, especially children, leaving them feeling under attack like never before and the White House with limited options to intervene.

"These are our kids. These are our neighbors. It's cruel and it's callous," Biden said at a White House news conference with British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak. "It matters a great deal how we treat everyone in this country."

Biden commented hours after the White House postponed a large Pride Month celebration with thousands of guests Thursday night on the South Lawn because of poor air quality from hazardous air flowing in from Canadian wildfires.

The president noted steps he has taken to help protect the rights of non-heterosexual people, but said "our fight is far, far from over because we have some hysterical and, I would argue, prejudiced people who are engaged in all that you see going on around the country."

CNN reports:

President Joe Biden will appoint a new federal coordinator to address the increase in book bans enacted across different states - part of a slew of new actions that he announced on Thursday aimed at protecting the LGBTQ+ community.

Biden announced the actions during a news conference with British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak. He was originally set to host what White House Domestic Policy Adviser Neera Tanden called "the largest Pride celebration in White House history." The celebration on the South Lawn, which was set for Thursday but was postponed until Saturday due to air quality issues caused by wildfires in Canada, will demonstrate "that LGBTQ people belong in the People's House," she said.

The White House posted a long list of law enforcement, legal harrassment and overreaching regulatory acctions on the White House website, directed at peaceful parents protecting their children.

The Statement, in part:

Today, in celebration of Pride Month, the Biden-Harris Administration is announcing new actions to protect LGBTQI+ communities from attacks on their rights and safety. Over a dozen states have enacted anti-LGBTQI+ laws that violate our most basic values and freedoms as Americans, and are cruel and callous to our kids, our neighbors, and those in our community. The Biden-Harris administration stands with the LGBTQI+ community and has their backs in the face of these attacks, and today, federal agencies are announcing new actions to:

  • Protect LGBTQI+ communities from attacks on their rights and safety by launching a new LGBTQI+ Community Safety Partnership and announcing that the Assistant Attorney General of the Civil Rights Division of the Justice Department will serve as the Department's liaison to the LGBTQI+ community on issues related to protecting the rights of the community.
