SOTU: President Trump recognizes Sage Blair

In
an
online
letter
to
supporters
sent
today,
Wednesday,
February
25,
2026,
Eugene
Delgaudio,
president
of
Public
Advocate
wrote
in
part:
During
his
State
of
the
Union
Address,
President
Trump
recognized
a
very
special
young
lady
named
Sage
Blair.
Her
name
is
one
that
long-term
Public
Advocate
supporters
might
recognize,
as
we
have
been
fighting
for
her
and
for
justice
in
her
case
for
years.
Her
story
is
one
I
know
all
too
well
--
it
still
breaks
my
heart
thinking
about
it.
Sage
was
a
victim
of
the
Homosexual
Lobby's
"transgender"
agenda
for
young
children
--
and
she's
lucky
to
be
alive
today.
Ms.
Blair
is
from
my
own
Virginia,
and
after
the
details
of
her
terrible
ordeal
came
out,
Public
Advocate
rushed
to
her
aid.
We
told
her
story
to
the
nation
and
called
for
criminal
action
against
the
Virginia
and
Maryland
officials
who
abused
her.
And
we
went
to
the
Virginia
General
Assembly
and
fought
to
pass
Sage's
Law
to
prevent
young
girls
from
being
"transitioned"
behind
the
backs
of
parents.
Sage's
Law
passed
right
through
the
House,
but
a
Democrat
controlled
committee
in
the
State
Senate
quickly
killed
it.
Every
single
Democrat
on
the
committee
voted
to
kill
Sage's
Law.
This
just
further
underscored
the
need
for
a
national
law
to
uphold
the
rights
of
parents,
