California run down of yesterday's primary results

Governor
Steve Hilton, a Republican, is ahead, 28 to 25 percent, with Xavier Becerra, a Democrat, in second. Tom Steyer, another Democrat (and a billionaire), is In third place, with 20 percent.
Republicans altogether totaled 40, the Democrats 59, and independents 1 percent.
Mayor of Los Angeles
Karen Bass, the incumbent Democrat, is ahead 35 to 30 percent, with Spencer Pratt, the amazing Spencer Pratt, a Republican, in second. An avowed socialist is in third place, with 22 percent.
