Conservatives to Senate GOP: Delay in funding ICE is dereliction of duty

The
conservative
leaders
who
participate
in
the
Conservative
Action
Project
have
just
released
a
Memo
for
the
Movement
entitled
"Conservatives
Urge
Senate
Republicans
to
Fund
ICE
and
Border
Patrol."
Conservatives
urge
Senate
Republicans
to
immediately
pass
the
budget
reconciliation
bill
to
fully
fund
Immigration
and
Customs
Enforcement
(ICE)
and
Border
Patrol
operations.
Any
further
delay
is
an
unconscionable
dereliction
of
one
of
Congress's
most
basic
duties.
Senate
Republicans
have
already
failed
to
pass
the
SAVE
America
Act.
They
have
failed
to
hold
Democrats
accountable
for
months
of
holding
the
Department
of
Homeland
Security
funding
hostage.
They
have
refused
to
work
with
the
president
to
make
victims
of
Joe
Biden's
DOJ
weaponization
whole.
And
now
they
are
failing
to
deliver
funding
for
the
men
and
women
of
ICE
and
Border
Patrol
-
something
that
only
requires
a
simple
majority
of
votes
under
reconciliation.
There
are
no
legitimate
excuses
for
this
outright
neglect
of
duty.
Americans
delivered
a
Senate
majority
with
the
expectation
that
the
basic
business
of
the
country
would
be
managed.
Funding
border
enforcement
is
the
bare
minimum
of
what
the
country
is
owed.
