During a House Judiciary Committee hearing, Rep. Darrell Issa (R-CA) directly pressed Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) interim CEO Bryan Fair to recant the organization's "hate list" and remove conservative figures like Charlie Kirk from its "hate map". Fair refused, stating that the SPLC "will continue to expose hate and extremism".
