A New York lawmaker wasn't done calling out "disgraceful" Democrats supporting deadly sanctuary policies after a fiery committee exchange, assuring "you can quote" him on an expletive label.
Tuesday on Capitol Hill, the House Judiciary Subcommittee on Immigration Integrity, Security, and Enforcement gathered for a hearing on victims' perspectives on sanctuary policies. A dispute between New York Rep. Mike Lawler (R) and Democratic Reps. Jamie Raskin of Maryland and Pramila Jayapal of Washington during the introduction boiled over with the former labeling the others "f*cking a**holes."
Ranking member Jayapal and Raskin had both interrupted Lawler during his introduction of his constituent Jessica Gorman, the mother of slain University of Loyola student Sheridan Gorman, insisting he was making a speech instead.
Asked about the heated incident by TMZ's Jacob Wasserman, the congressman explained, "First of all, if you heard the opening statements of Pramila Jayapal and Jamie Raskin, it was absolutely outrageous. It was disgusting. And it insulted those angel families that were sitting there. As Jessica Gorman just said in her testimony, they said, 'We're sorry for your loss, but -,' there's no but. Sanctuary policies are the reason their daughter is dead."
LATER, Lawler remarks, in a TMZ inteview posted on X: they (Raskin and Jayapal) are not outraged by their deaths, and that is the fundamental problem here. And frankly, Jamie Raskin and Pramila Jayapal are f*cking a**holes. Their conduct in that hearing was disgraceful."
